As Carbon Markets Lead at Climate Action Platform for Africa (CAP-A), Ash's core focus is on growing high integrity, liquid carbon markets in Africa. Ash is a carbon finance expert with extensive experience advising entrepreneurs, community-based organisations and investors on carbon project development and innovation in Africa, with a particular focus on carbon removals.  Ash sits on the VCMI Stakeholder Forum, the Africa Europe Foundation Carbon Markets Working Group, and the Africa Carbon Markets Initiative Working Group. Ash is also a technical advisor to Catalyst Fund, supporting portfolio companies to commercialize carbon revenue opportunities.

CAP-A is a public benefit organization that exists to unlock Africa’s potential as a global hub for climate action, underpinned by a new climate-smart model of economic growth and livelihoods: Climate Positive Growth (CPG). CAP-A sees itself as a system orchestrator - connecting the dots between policy-makers, financiers, innovators and operators to surface and scale CPG opportunities across the continent.
