Wairimu Gitahi
Insight and Impact Manager

Wairimu is the Insights and Impact manager. She works across several projects, which include Catalyst Fund, Jobtech, and our CIFAR Alliance and climate work. She synthesizes learnings, conducts research, and develops content.

Wairimu is a senior multi-media producer and development communications expert. She believes in creating content that positively inspires and pushes for social change in the world, and she strives to create more sustainable and equitable societies through her work.

She has worked on stories on digital innovations for development, climate change, food crises, refugees, gender, politics, water, health, and other crucial global issues. She has led in developing, planning, and implementing communication strategies for high-profile international organizations. She has worked with UNCDF, UNICEF, the BBC World Service, and Thomson Reuters.

Wairimu has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Daystar University, Kenya. And further studied to earn a Diploma of proficiency in French Grammar and Oral language from Alliance Française.  

She is fluent in English and Kiswahili and has a good grasp of French.
